Stone fruit season is underway - peaches, nectarines, apricots, cherries. Also the first melons southern Europe.
UK produce … asparagus peak season. Foraged wild garlic now flowering. Strawberries have just started. Also imports of Frais De Bois, Mara de Bois, raspberries.
New potatoes such as Cornish mids now harvesting. In general, a dry April has been a problem for many UK farmers. Now the weather is warming, it is the wrong end of season for many brassicas.
From Europe, peas, broad beans, artichokes, courgettes.
END OF SEASON
-Cime di Rapa and puntarelle.
-Watercress.
-Jerusalem artichokes.
-Big radish varieties such as Red Meat etc.
