Berries this month include Annabel’s strawberries, raspberries (incl. pink / black / yellow) and the first gooseberries, which start with the red-blush varieties from France before moving onto green.

Stone fruit is getting better every day. Cherries are excellent quality, along with apricots, peaches and nectarines. We will see the first blood peaches and nectarines this month.

All varieties of melon are in season.

English asparagus will end a week or so early (around 20th June) this year because of dry weather in spring.

English peas have started.

Provence tomatoes are now eating beautifully - varieties such as Pineapple, Rose, Marmande etc.

A great month for beans of all kinds: Borlotti, yellow, runner. Also courgettes: round (green / yellow), white, Nicois, Romana. Also marrows.
