MARKET REPORT FOR NOVEMBER 2022

Fantastic autumnal produce here at Le Marché. This is a time for roots and we have all of them, including Crapaudine beetroot, parsley root, chervil root, helianthus, crosnes, Jerusalem artichoke and trobinambour. Belgian and French salsify also in. Don’t forget the radishes - including red heart and watermelon.

Excellent citrus now, including Tout Miel clementines, bergamot, cedro, finger lime, Buddha’s Hand. Early blood oranges from Australia.

Bitter leaves include radicchios such as Tardivo, Trevise, Castel Franco. Puntarelle and Cime di Rapa also in season.

All the brassicas are on good form, including sprout tops, kohl rabi (green and purple), variegated kales, Hispi and January King cabbage. Artichokes include spikey, globe and bunched violet. All the squashes, including Violin.

Excellent apples and pears - English and French - including Beurre Hardy and wax-tipped.

Wild mushrooms include Ceps, Chanterelle and Trompette.
